WESTRIDGE MONTESSORI ACADEMY PHILOSOPHY:
Westridge Montessori Academy is an academic Montessori Academy that closely follows the principles set forth by the Association Montessori International Training. The school’s philosophy is inspired by the educational thought of Dr. Maria Montessori, whom created the models for the classrooms and for the learning materials. The school continues her work in developmental psychology and education.
As Montessori educators, we believe that each child is born to be a learner, and that the full potential of each person is realized only through an ordered, challenging, nurturing environment that contributes to the child’s physical, intellectual, social, and spiritual development.
MISSION:
It is Westridge Montessori Academy’s mission to aid the child in his or her natural development, by offering a prepared environment that best supports their intellectual, social, physical, and spiritual development.
SCHOOL HISTORY:
Westridge Montessori Academy was founded in 2011 and serves children between 2 ½ -6 years of age. Westridge saw a need to provide the families of the Fraser Valley with an authentic, academic Montessori program.
